A: Blue

Q: How did you decide to become a DJ?
A: I was born into it. My brother had a disco before me and that’s how I got into it.
Q: What do you like best about this Industry?
A: That’s a tough one. Basically, I like to see people happy, so I guess that’s what I like best about it.
Q: Do you have a favourite Genre or Genres of music?
A: I like all music but I would have to say Jamaican music.
Q: What motivates you to do what you do?
A: I guess you can say it’s all from above. Quite a lot of my family has been in the music industry as well, so it was something I was born into.
Q: How do you prepare for a show, play out or just a normal day in the studio?
A: A play out is a little different from a show. When you play out, you are not 100% sure of the crowd, so when you go on a play out, you basically assess the crowd and then select your music based on that. On a show now, you have a format so you have your reggae section and your r and b section. Before the show now, you know what you’re playing and try not to repeat yourself. You’re not necessarily playing to keep people dancing, so you can play a wider selection.
Q: Outside of being a DJ, what else do you find interesting?
A: I love movies and dogs,. I am a member of the Kennel Club and I show dogs. Also I exercise a lot and I like watching sports.
