Q. How did you decide to become a DJ, Announcer and producer?
A. I grew up around sound systems- my father had a sound system. After getting many slaps on my hands for breaking and pulling apart wires, and dreaming of being that personality on the radio, sending greetings and playing songs, I created my own small sound system in high school with a group of friends. We went from Westmoreland to Kingston. Once you got in to radio there is always other opportunities presenting themselves, I made my way in to radio by changes and disco. I worked at FAME but I was just playing and that was limited. I got an offer from Kool 97 FM and this was where it all began - more exposure to everything, broadcasting, announcing, more general radio
Q. What do you like best about this Industry?
A. The different variables of entertainment, you can bounce in to offer a different take on the world, people to meet, places to go, things to see and you always get front row seat all the way, back stage meeting the movers and shakers and finally you yourself becoming one, the general public feedback is the most satisfying thing for me.
Q. Do you have a favorite Genre or Genres of music?
A. Love the 80’s Soul and 90’s Hip Hop.
Q. What motivates you to do what you do?
A. It is really a passion, my love for music and my passion for delivering Entertainment.
Q. How do you prepare for a show, play out or just a normal day in the studio?
A. Cannot do a general blue print, cannot plan four hours, people’s passion and my passion put me in a direction I always focus at being my best and the pinnacle of my game.
Q. Outside of being a DJ, producer and an Announcer what else do you find interesting?
A. Promoting Quality Events, Event production and Promotions Planning
