Born in 1979, the former Portmore native grew up around music as his father was an avid music collector. After relocating to New Kingston he began collecting music of his own and was introduced to Shane Palmer. It was through this friendship that in 1996 the partnership was formed to create a sound system which eventually disbanded. An avid lover of Hip Hop, Reggae, Club and other genres of music Kevin Williams a.k.a. Dj Method never gave up on his dream to please crowds with musical rapture. |
| This lead him to join forces with some childhood associates to form Adema Sound System under the pseudo-name Dj X. Though they gained extensive exposure through such events as Teen Link, Jonkunoo Lounge and various house & pool parties, there was still a lot more potential for Adema. Due to inner turmoil within that organization the group was forced to disband. |
| Dj Method has since embarked on a solo career and has played @ venues such as Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Negril, Montego Bay & Ochi Rios Clubs, The Village Café and also at various events across Kingston & St. Andrew ranging from clubs, sessions, parties, corporate & social gatherings, etc. He has shared the stage alongside established and upcoming Sound Systems and selectors such as Jet Lee formerly of The Stone Love Movement, Coppershot, Vendetta, Razz & Biggy, Asylum Dj's, Intrigue and Epidemik to name a few. |
Playing more music with almost no talk & still capable to rise to any occasion as he exhibits his versatility. He has noted Jazzy T, Dj Khaled, Tony Matterhorn, Funkmaster Flex and Fat Man Scoop as a few of his mentors. Using these established figures of the entertainment world he has constantly taken steps to broaden his skills by setting up a multimedia production studio (Methodologi Designs & Anarki Studios), enlisted in his skills are remix creator, mixtape developer, web and graphic design & multimedia production. |
